I originally purchased the Sleep Innovations 12" mattress but stumbled upon the Lucid in time to cancel before shipment. A major factor in that decision was that the Lucid was a $100 cheaper, and although the Sleep Innovations had such good reviews, I was worried about the reviews saying it was really firm.
Initial Impressions: The package arrived a day later then intended, but that was a Fedex mistake. The mattress came pretty well packaged. I recommend opening it in the room you will be using it in. It completely expanded fairly quick. The bamboo cover is a nice bonus. Upon opening the Lucid it had a pretty strong odor, but only if you were lying on it (you shouldn't be until 48 hours). I placed a fan near the mattress and by the end of the second day there was absolutely zero odor.

I have slept on very expensive temperpedic beds and knew that it was worth it for me to get one. I was on a budget and hoping to get more bang for my buck. I have a sleep disorder and DO NOT sleep well. I am a light sleeper and will wake from noise or movement in the bed, etc. I waited to write this review after sleeping on it for approximately 3 weeks. I have uploaded my images to this page. I ordered it and with prime membership paid $3.99 for next day shipping. It arrived in a box that i was able to get upstairs with some help (here's no handles on box, it's awkward and weighs 50-70lbs). I opened box carefully and carefully removed plastic liner. I had purchased two sheets of heavy duty plywood ($20 a sheet from Home Depot and they cut it for me). I used the wood to create a platform base on my Queen bed frame (see uploaded pictures). I found out about this product from a certain deals forum when the product was listed at a great discount. The price of the king mattress has gone up about ~$150 since. I was in the middle of redoing my master bedroom and decided it was time to also buy new bed furniture. So it was the perfect time to update my mattress and move from a queen to a king size. My old spring style mattress was starting to sag and causing me back pain every morning. The old mattress was at least as old as I am (30) so it was way over due to be replaced. I never owned a foam mattress but my parents have a temperpedic that they like. I like a softer bed and my parents temperpedic while not exactly soft was great for back pain.
